Independent advisory & delivery
A clear view.

What I’m hired for
- 01
Project and portfolio delivery (P3M)
Running and structuring complex programs and portfolios. Portfolio and resource-management process advisory. Discovery workshops and time-boxed problem solving for teams that need direction before they need a build.
- 02
Power Platform architecture
Solution architecture across Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and PCF components. Performance and Dataverse optimisation. Building the thing properly, or steering whoever builds it. PL-600 certified.
- 03
Product thinking for enterprise tools
Feature design, roadmap, and prioritisation for internal tools and platforms. UX direction for complex planning and resource-management interfaces. Making sure the real problem is solved before anything gets built.
Selected work
Three engagements, told as problem to outcome. Clients kept anonymous by sector.
A global medical-device company had defaulted to a reporting workaround for planning versions inside a Gantt view. I looked at it and said no, this belongs in the product itself. I scoped the feature with their program managers, designed the data model, worked the UX with a designer, and handed the build to the development team. It shipped, worked, and was rolled out to the entire client base.
I helped build an enterprise project-portfolio product on the Power Platform, doing the low-code work myself and later prototyping in React to hand to a growing development team. It scaled to more than 100 enterprise accounts and over 50,000 users.
On a demanding rollout with a chaotic stakeholder landscape, we hit serious performance problems. I ruled out hardware, kept the client moving with workarounds, then found the real cause in how the tool calculated its work-breakdown structure and fixed it at the source. The lesson I carry now: go to the root cause first, before reaching for the patch.
About
I’m Simon. I recently stepped out of a product-director role to work independently, closer to the customer and the actual problem. For nearly a decade I built and delivered an enterprise project-portfolio product on the Microsoft Power Platform, for some of the largest organisations in Europe and the Nordics. I’ve been the project manager close to delivery, the product owner shaping what gets built, and the director responsible for the whole thing.
I make sure we solve the real problem before we build, so you don’t pay to build the wrong thing well.
I stay close to the people using the solution and to the choices that shape delivery. I ask why before I build, because that question protects time, scope, and budget. The best engagements make room for that challenge and turn it into a practical next step.
On the Power Platform since 2018. Microsoft PL-600 certified, Power Platform Solution Architect.

I take on one anchor client at a time alongside a few shorter, well-scoped engagements. If you have a real problem and the room to solve it properly, let’s talk.
